The novel was published on December 27, 2014 by Kadokawa Shoten under their Sneaker Bunko imprint. An English edition is set to be released by Yen Press Publishing on November 13, 2018.

Synopsis

“Accept the truth. Those girls, are, already gone.”

It’s been half a month since Chtholly and the other Fairy Soldiers proceeded towards the decisive battle. And, they still haven’t returned yet. Willem who is accompanying the girl “Tiat,” a fairy soldier who bears the responsibility of carrying the next generation, to Sky Island 11 for an “aptitude test,” accepts the report of the “Lost Battle” there, however……

The Fairy Soldier Girls who have lost their determination to beat the “Beasts” in the human’s place and die, and the single surviving young “Human” Instructor, spend their transient yet shining days together. Volume 2 .
